Who We Are
Hi, I’m Suki.
I started Camping Footprint because I believe in a simple truth: You can love nature and love a good night’s sleep at the same time.
Like many Gold Coast mums, I wanted my kids to grow up wild—climbing trees, spotting koalas, and roasting marshmallows. But the reality of traditional camping? The leaking tents, the deflating air mattresses, and the stress of packing for a family? That wasn’t for me.
I knew there had to be a middle ground between “survival mode” and a $500-a-night hotel.
That’s what this site is: The middle ground.
My family and I explore South East Queensland to find the best spots that offer nature plus comfort. Whether it’s a hidden gem with hot showers in the Hinterland, or a DIY guide to turning a Kmart tent into a boutique sanctuary, I’m here to show you how to glam up your trip on a budget.
